Operations Manager – Microfinance

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead daily operations across all branches and satellite offices of the Malawi Enterprise Development Fund, ensuring efficient service delivery and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at all branches and satellite offices.
• Monitor performance of operational units and ensure targets are met.
• Coordinate loan processing, disbursement, and recovery activities.
• Develop, implement, and update operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and support branch and operations staff.
• Prepare and submit operational reports to senior management.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Drive efficiency improvements and enhance service delivery.
• Coordinate resource allocation across duty stations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Microfinance or Business Administration from an NCHE‑accredited institution.
• Master’s degree in a related field (preferred) from an NCHE‑accredited institution.
• Minimum five years of relevant work experience, including at least three years in a management role.
