Risk and Compliance Specialist (NO-3)

About the role

Join UNICEF Malawi to strengthen accountable, risk‑informed programme delivery for children. Reporting to the Deputy Representative, Operations, you will lead operational support for implementing partnerships and the Humanitarian Aid Compliance Tool (HACT), ensuring fiduciary safeguards and effective risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for partnership management, cash transfers and fiduciary safeguards, including in emergency contexts.
• Monitor partnership performance, assurance results, compliance trends and risk indicators using data and evidence.
• Produce clear dashboards, reports and governance briefings to inform management decisions.
• Contribute to enterprise risk management, internal controls, audit readiness, fraud risk management, ethics and accountability.
• Advise teams on practical improvements to operational effectiveness and strengthen staff and partner capacity in HACT, compliance, risk management and fraud prevention.

Required profile

• Experience in operational support for partnerships and risk‑informed programme delivery.
• Familiarity with HACT, fiduciary safeguards and emergency contexts.
• Ability to analyse data, monitor compliance trends and produce actionable insights.
• Strong advisory skills to improve operational effectiveness and build capacity.
