Space Market, Innovation & Investment Expert

About the role

The Non‑Key Expert will support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost) by driving market development, innovation and investment activities across African and European space ecosystems. The role focuses on geospatial and space markets, helping stakeholders commercialise technologies and become investment‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse space and geospatial market trends in Africa and the EU.
• Design and implement innovation instruments, incubation and acceleration programmes.
• Support commercialisation pathways and prepare organisations for financing.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and partnership building between public and private actors.
• Provide advisory services on investment readiness and access to finance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of professional experience in market analysis, innovation, entrepreneurship, business development or investment advisory in technology sectors.
• At least four years of experience specifically in space or geospatial markets.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese is an asset.
• Familiarity with African space markets and investment ecosystems is a plus.
