Internal Communication Specialist

About the role

FRU AND SONS LTD is looking for a proactive Internal Communication Specialist to design and deliver clear, timely, and engaging communications across the organisation. The role supports transparency, collaboration, and employee engagement within its import‑export operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and distribute internal announcements, newsletters, memos and updates.
• Coordinate communication flow between management, departments, teams and staff.
• Maintain internal channels such as email, messaging platforms, intranet and notice boards.
• Support management in communicating policy changes, strategic initiatives and organisational updates.
• Create communication materials for employee programs, meetings, training sessions and corporate events.
• Collaborate with HR to reinforce employee engagement and culture initiatives.
• Assist in communicating operational updates related to import, export, supply‑chain, sales and procurement.
• Gather employee feedback, relay concerns to leadership and monitor communication effectiveness.
• Provide crisis or urgent communications when required and ensure all messages are professional, confidential and aligned with company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, HR, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• Previous experience in internal, corporate or HR communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common digital communication tools.
