Corporate Affairs & PR Officer – Judicial Service Commission

About the role

The Judicial Service Commission is seeking a qualified professional to lead corporate affairs and public relations for the Judiciary. The role is based in Blantyre and operates within the Grade CS5 salary scale.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Judiciary’s public image.
• Support content creation and routine updates on the Judiciary’s website.
• Facilitate implementation of the communication strategy in liaison with relevant departments and stakeholders.
• Monitor communication trends and prepare advisory briefs for management on public perception issues.
• Collect, analyse and report on public feedback and media coverage related to the Judiciary.
• Organise training for staff and management on media handling and public speaking.
• Assist in designing and delivering public education campaigns about the Judiciary’s role, mission and activities.
• Develop and disseminate IEC materials such as flyers, brochures, jingles and digital content.
• Support coordination of Judiciary events, launches and public functions.

Required profile

• Current Public Relations Officer, Information Officer, Civic Education Officer or Protocol Officer within the Civil Service or Public Service.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience in the above posts.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Communication, Journalism, Media Communication, Public Relations, Communication and Cultural Studies or a related field from an accredited institution.
