Supply & Procurement Officer (NO-2) – Fixed Term – Lilongwe

About the role

UNICEF Malawi is looking for a Supply & Procurement Officer (NO-2) to strengthen its procurement and supply‑chain functions. Working under the Supply and Logistics Specialist, you will help ensure timely delivery of goods and services that support programme implementation for children across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Support supply planning, sourcing strategies, long‑term arrangements and offshore procurement.
• Provide technical guidance to government counterparts and implementing partners.
• Monitor procurement pipelines, supplier performance and contract compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management and anti‑fraud measures.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and rapid procurement response.
• Coach and supervise team members to achieve performance targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Law, International Development or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in supply management, procurement, vendor assessment or risk management.
• Ability to work with programme teams, partners and government stakeholders.
