Driver (G-2) – Fixed Term – Malawi

About the role

As a driver for UNICEF in Lilongwe, you will support programme delivery and business continuity by providing safe, reliable and efficient transportation services for staff, field missions, emergency response and the movement of operational resources across Malawi.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle readiness and ensure compliance with transport, safety and security standards.
• Complete accurate trip and vehicle documentation and support routine administrative and operational functions.
• Provide fleet management support for field missions, emergency response and rapid deployments.

Required profile

• Secondary education and a valid driver’s licence with knowledge of local driving rules.
• At least two years of experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of a local language is an asset.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance.
• Use of digital fleet tracking, vehicle booking or trip management systems.
• Radio communication and mobile device operation during field movements.
