Supply & Logistics Specialist (P-3) – Fixed Term

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Supply & Logistics Specialist (P-3) on a fixed‑term basis to lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations in Malawi. The role ensures timely, efficient and accountable delivery of goods, services and construction works that support programme results for children.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate supply planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, inventory management, logistics and distribution.
• Manage and develop the supply team while fostering strong internal and external collaboration.
• Provide strategic technical support to government partners to strengthen national supply chain systems.
• Drive innovation, promote local market development and improve supply chain performance for value for money.
• Lead logistics preparedness and response in emergencies, develop operational strategies and ensure business continuity.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and strengthen operational resilience.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience at national and international levels in supply, logistics, procurement, contract management, warehouse management or customs clearance.
