Supply & Logistics Specialist (P-3) – Fixed Term, Lilongwe

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Supply & Logistics Specialist (P-3) on a fixed‑term basis to lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations in Malawi. Reporting to the Deputy Representative Operations, you will ensure that goods, services and construction works are delivered efficiently and transparently to support programmes for children.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supply planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, inventory management, logistics and distribution.
• Manage and develop the supply team, fostering strong internal and external collaboration.
• Provide strategic technical support to government partners to strengthen national supply chain systems.
• Drive innovation, promote local market development and improve value for money.
• Lead logistics preparedness and response in emergencies, coordinating partners and ensuring business continuity.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and enhance operational resilience.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience at national and international levels in supply, logistics, procurement, contract management, warehouse management or customs clearance.
