Settlement & Reconciliation Executive

About the role

The Settlement & Reconciliation Executive is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of bank and transaction reconciliations across multiple accounts. This role works closely with banking partners, internal finance teams, and IT to maintain clean financial records and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform independent, timely bank reconciliations for several bank accounts and resolve any unreconciled items.
• Investigate discrepancies, coordinate with banks for statements, and manage banking queries.
• Review, validate, and post accounting transactions in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring completeness of financial documentation.
• Validate payment requests, obtain required approvals, and enforce internal control procedures.
• Liaise with IT to resolve ERP or banking interface issues affecting finance operations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather supporting information and address accounting queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in finance and accounting operations, with a focus on bank reconciliations.
• Proven experience reviewing and validating financial transactions.
• Experience in a corporate finance environment is preferred.
