Reporting Analyst – Financial Services & Reporting

About the role

The Reporting Analyst will support accurate financial operations and reporting for World Vision Malawi, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards. The role involves processing transactions, preparing reports, and collaborating with finance and program teams to maintain transparency and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and validating monthly financial reports for the National Office.
• Draft monthly financial summaries and management review documents highlighting insights, risks, and actions.
• Compile and organize financial records for internal and external audits, responding to audit queries.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance‑sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items.
• Conduct variance analysis by comparing actuals to budgeted figures across projects and cost centres.
• Review general‑ledger transactions for accuracy, proper coding, and policy compliance.
• Validate journal entries for completeness, correctness, and proper authorization.
• Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts and Activity & Task codes.
• Support opening and closing of accounts in Sun System and other financial platforms.
• Conduct final checks on financial data prior to FFR submission and archive documents for audit readiness.

Required profile

• Experience in financial reporting and analysis within a donor‑driven environment.
• Familiarity with internal controls, audit processes, and compliance standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with finance and program teams.
