Reporting Analyst – Financial Services & Reporting

About the role

The Reporting Analyst supports accurate financial operations and reporting, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organisational standards. The role involves processing transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with account consolidation to promote transparency and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and validating monthly financial reports for the National Office, ensuring completeness and alignment with donor expectations.
• Draft monthly financial summaries and management review documents highlighting insights, risks and actions for leadership.
• Compile and organise financial records and reconciliations to support internal and external audits.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Conduct variance analysis by comparing actuals to budgets across projects and cost centres, providing actionable insights.
• Review general‑ledger transactions for accuracy, proper coding and policy compliance; validate journal entries with appropriate documentation.
• Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts and activity/task codes across financial systems.
• Support opening and closing of accounts in Sun System and other platforms, ensuring adherence to internal controls.
• Conduct final checks on financial data prior to FFR submission and archive documents for audit readiness.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial data accurately.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with donor‑funded projects and compliance requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with finance, program and shared‑services teams.
• Good organisational skills for document management and audit preparation.
