About the role
The Programme Support Officer will be based in Lilongwe, supporting UN Women’s programme coordination, donor engagement, reporting and monitoring activities. The role contributes to strengthening accountability, stakeholder collaboration and visibility of results related to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical and administrative support for programme implementation and stakeholder engagement, including organising meetings, workshops and follow‑up actions.
- Compile, analyse and present programme and financial results for donor reporting, preparing impact narratives and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Support monitoring and evaluation processes, data collection, analysis and reporting on programme progress and outcomes.
- Facilitate coordination with donors, UN agencies and partners through the Gender Theme Group and other mechanisms, enhancing communication and partnership.
- Develop communication materials such as briefs, updates, presentations and programme highlights to ensure visibility and consistent messaging.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in programme coordination, project management or development cooperation.
- Experience in donor reporting, results‑based reporting and monitoring & evaluation.
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders and coordinate multi‑partner initiatives.
- Background in gender equality, women’s empowerment or related fields.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
