National Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Officer to support the Shelter and CCCM cluster in Malawi. The officer will work under the Programme Coordinator (Southern Africa and Indian Ocean) and the Project Officer (CCCM and Durable Solutions) to coordinate CCCM activities, develop policies and integrate human mobility considerations into shelter and displacement management strategies within the RE2CLID programme.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to the Shelter/CCCM cluster, government leads and operational partners.
• Monitor service provision and site conditions, identify gaps and liaise with partners to ensure compliance with standards.
• Participate in needs assessments, service mapping and site safety audits, and advocate for corrective actions.
• Facilitate the mobilisation, training and equipping of displaced communities.
• Document site maintenance, risk reduction activities and contribute to reporting for the RE2CLID project.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in camp coordination, shelter management or humanitarian response in Malawi or similar contexts.
• Knowledge of CCCM standards, humanitarian coordination mechanisms and displacement‑affected community engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and IOM units.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
