Assistant Procurement and Assets Disposal Officer

About the role

The Assistant Procurement and Assets Disposal Officer supports the Procurement and Assets Disposal Officer in managing the procurement lifecycle and the disposal of assets in accordance with Malawi's public procurement and asset disposal regulations. The role ensures that goods, works and services are sourced efficiently and that disposed assets are handled transparently.

Key responsibilities

• Draft procurement contracts, process local purchase orders and handle all related administration.
• Prepare requests for quotations, bid documents and assist in opening, evaluating and closing bids.
• Produce supplier performance reports and manage the receipt of delivered goods.
• Liaise with requisitioning units to define accurate product and service specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management.
• Professional membership with MIPS and CIPS.
• At least 1 year of relevant procurement or asset disposal experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
