About the role
The University of Malawi invites applications for two full‑time academic positions in its Faculty of Law, covering the ranks of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate and conduct research in the candidate’s area of specialization.
- Participate in community outreach and engagement activities.
- Contribute to all academic and professional activities within the department.
- Deliver clinical and experiential legal education across all levels.
- Lecture in at least two of the following courses: Law of Evidence, Legislative Drafting, Clinical Legal Education, Revenue Law.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of bar admission for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor/Professor positions.
- Upper Second‑Class Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree (or higher) and a Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) from a recognised university.
- For Associate Professor/Professor level, a PhD in Law from a recognised university is required.
