About the role

The Judicial Service Commission of Malawi invites applications from serving officers for several internal vacancies across the judiciary. Positions range from administrative support to legal, security, IT, and maintenance functions, all requiring a minimum of four years’ experience in the current grade.

Key responsibilities

• Manage appointments, correspondence, travel arrangements and minute‑taking for judges and heads of sections.
• Exercise criminal and civil jurisdiction, act as special administrator under the Taxation Act, and supervise court administration.
• Patrol court premises, supervise entry points, operate surveillance cameras and report security incidents.
• Develop, test, maintain and install software programmes, configure workstations, ensure network security and troubleshoot hardware.
• Coordinate building maintenance, prepare procurement bills of quantities, inspect works and supervise tradespeople.

Required profile

• Current serving officers in the judiciary or public service at the specified grades (e.g., Grade K/CS9, Grade L/CS10) with at least four years in the role.
• Relevant academic and professional certificates as required for each grade.
