Judicial Service Commission – Multiple Vacancies (HR, Secretary, Research, Procurement)

About the role

The Judicial Service Commission of Malawi is recruiting qualified Malawian candidates for several permanent positions across its judiciary offices. Roles include Human Resource Management, Personal Secretary, Judicial Research, Shorthand Typist, and Assistant Procurement. Applicants must meet the specific educational and experience criteria listed for each vacancy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage personnel emolument estimates and assist with establishment control.
• Coordinate diaries, meetings, travel arrangements and correspondence for judges or heads of sections.
• Conduct legal research, produce reports and support policy development.
• Type official documents, take minutes of meetings and manage reception duties.
• Coordinate procurement activities, prepare bidding documents and monitor contract performance in line with public procurement regulations.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s in HR, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or a recognised diploma in administrative or procurement studies).
• Minimum of four years’ experience in the specific functional area as outlined for each post.
• For procurement role, membership of the Malawi Institute of Purchasing and Supply is required.
