Court Clerk and Stores Clerk (Grade M/CS11) – Malawi Judiciary

About the role

The Malawi Judiciary is inviting qualified Malawian candidates to join its staff in two essential support positions. The Court Clerk will assist in the administration of civil and criminal cases across all courts, while the Stores Clerk will manage inventory and supplies at the Judiciary’s locations in Blantyre, Lilongwe, Mzuzu and Zomba.

Key responsibilities

• Register case files for civil and criminal matters, receive client complaints and interpret court proceedings (Court Clerk).
• Prepare monthly case returns and ensure proper filing of all court documents (Court Clerk).
• Receive and issue store items, conduct regular stock reviews and prepare receipt vouchers for goods received (Stores Clerk).
• Report surpluses, theft or discrepancies, maintain accurate stores records and keep storage areas in good condition (Stores Clerk).

Required profile

• Possession of the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or O‑Level together with a certificate in Paralegal Studies, Law, Communication/Journalism, Business Administration, Information Technology or Human Resources Management for the Court Clerk position.
• Possession of MSCE/O‑Level with passes in English and Mathematics and a certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain or Stores for the Stores Clerk position.
