Human Resources and Administration Manager

About the role

The Human Resources and Administration Manager will lead and coordinate all HR and administrative functions for Orant Charities Africa’s head office in Kasese, Dowa district. Reporting to the Country Director, the role ensures compliance with local labour laws, supports staff development, and maintains efficient office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage recruitment processes, including job analysis, advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organisational goals and programme needs.
• Maintain compliance with labour legislation, update the Personnel Handbook, and advise management on policy matters.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and budget monitoring.
• Manage HR documentation such as contracts, timesheets, and employee records.
• Facilitate performance management, training, and staff retention initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR management, preferably within NGOs or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of Malawian labour law and international HR best practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and programme teams.
