Financing & Fundraising Expert – Energy Access Programme

About the role

The Financing & Fundraising Expert will lead resource mobilisation and financing strategy for the Energy Access Programme, identifying funding opportunities, supporting investment readiness and ensuring sustainable delivery. The role works closely with financiers, development partners and internal teams to build bankable projects and secure long‑term financing.

Key responsibilities

• Support development of financing and resource mobilisation strategies.
• Contribute to investment planning and project financing approaches.
• Engage with financiers, development partners, investors, and funding institutions.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for decision‑making.
• Develop bankable opportunities and maintain an investment pipeline.
• Support innovative financing approaches and partnership development.
• Produce financial reports, analyses and stakeholder‑facing materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, infrastructure finance or DFI‑funded programmes.
• Proven track record of mobilising investment and donor financing.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience with public‑private partnerships, blended finance and project finance structures.
