Credit Administrator

About the role
Old Mutual is seeking a Credit Administrator to manage staff loan administration and support financial reporting. The role combines accounting, data management and loan portfolio oversight to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform accounting tasks such as ledger maintenance, journal entries, trial balance preparation and financial statement compilation.
- Collect, analyse and report financial data, track budget variances and produce standard reports.
- Provide data‑management support, extract data for reporting and assist users with system queries.
- Develop and communicate financial policies, guidelines and procedural documentation.
- Process and underwrite staff loan applications, issue disbursement schedules and maintain loan records in the core banking system.
- Monitor loan repayments, follow up overdue accounts and support recovery of legacy non‑performing loans.
- Process insurance claims related to borrower death in accordance with policy.
Required profile
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and bookkeeping experience.
- Ability to prepare and analyse financial statements and trial balances.
- Strong attention to detail for data collection, reconciliation and reporting.
- Familiarity with financial policies, regulatory compliance and operational procedures.
Required skills
- Proficiency with standard office software for document preparation and data entry.
- Experience using core banking or loan management systems.
