Courier – Delivery & Pickup Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Courier to sort, deliver and pick up shipments on a dedicated route, ensuring timely and safe handling of documents and packages while representing the company professionally to customers and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to tight deadlines and deliver time‑sensitive documents and parcels safely and punctually, considering traffic patterns and regulations.
• Perform pre‑start checks on motorbikes or vehicles and report any abnormalities.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle, ensuring it is road‑worthy and compliant with legal requirements.
• Use navigation devices and mobile applications to plan optimal routes.
• Communicate service‑related issues to supervisors and provide feedback to customer service.
• Generate sales leads for the sales team and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
• Comply with all company policies, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience driving manual vehicles, delivery vans or motorbikes.
• Full MSCE Certificate of Secondary School.
• Good oral and written English communication skills.
• Knowledge of Lilongwe city roads; defensive driving certificate is a plus.
• Physically fit and able to lift packages of various weights.
• Honesty, integrity and accountability.
