About the role
The University of Malawi is seeking an Assistant Investments and Resource Mobilization Officer to develop and monitor resource mobilization and investment strategies, support enterprise development, and manage relationships with donors and financial partners.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and monitor implementation of resource mobilization and investment policies.
- Assist in developing existing and new university enterprises aligned with the institution’s vision.
- Participate in business development policy, plan and strategy reviews.
- Contribute to major resource mobilization campaigns and negotiate with donors for multi‑year initiatives.
- Prepare investment management accounts, conduct reconciliations and due‑diligence on prospective opportunities.
- Assess and recommend appropriate investment portfolios and monitor their performance.
- Maintain partnerships with financial institutions, professional advisers and other stakeholders on investment matters.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience.
