Strategy & Transactions Manager

About the role

EY Malawi is seeking a Manager for its EY‑Parthenon practice to help clients across Malawi make better strategic, transaction and transformation decisions. The role combines commercial thinking, financial analysis and practical problem‑solving to support a full range of EY‑Parthenon services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategy, transaction and transformation engagements from planning through delivery.
• Analyse complex business issues and turn findings into clear recommendations.
• Support growth strategy, market assessment, business planning, operating model design and performance improvement.
• Conduct commercial due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, financial modelling and post‑deal value creation.
• Prepare high‑quality reports, presentations and decision papers for senior clients and EY leadership.
• Build trusted client relationships, contribute to proposals and market development.
• Collaborate with regional EY‑Parthenon teams and wider EY specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Coach junior team members and help develop EY‑Parthenon capability in Malawi.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering, mathematics, data analytics or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, transaction advisory or corporate finance.
• Strong commercial, strategic and analytical thinking.
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior clients and internal stakeholders.
• Practical project‑management skills and ability to deliver quality work under pressure.
