Senior MERL Coordinator

About the role

Last Mile Health is seeking a Senior MERL Coordinator to strengthen evidence generation for community health programs in Malawi. Reporting to the MERL Specialist, you will work closely with program teams to design, implement, and analyze monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the MERL Specialist in all MERL activities for Malawi projects.
• Conduct data analysis of routine and survey‑based data collections.
• Develop and implement research protocols, MERL plans, and evaluation study designs, including household surveys.
• Adapt or create data collection tools such as surveys, interview guides, and focus‑group guides, and oversee their deployment.
• Share findings through regular data reviews and collaborate with program teams to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
• Coordinate with LMH’s Global MERL team to apply organizational standards and contribute to a community of practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading MERL for community health programs.
• Currently located in Malawi and authorized to work there.
• Willingness to work onsite in Lilongwe for a 24‑month fixed‑term contract.
