Programme Analyst, FP/RHCS (Family Planning/Reproductive Health Commodity Security)

About the role

The Programme Analyst, FP/RHCS supports UNFPA’s work on maternal health and family planning in Malawi by strengthening reproductive health commodity security and national supply‑chain initiatives. Working under the Programme Specialist (SRH), the analyst contributes to forecasting, procurement planning, logistics management and data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in forecasting, quantification and supply planning for contraceptives, maternal health medicines and other reproductive health commodities.
• Analyse commodity and logistics data to identify stock‑outs, overstocks, expiries and other supply risks, and flag them for follow‑up.
• Support the national Logistics Management Information System (LMIS), maintain dashboards and prepare periodic reports.
• Coordinate activities of project staff, consultants and implementing partners, ensuring alignment with Ministry of Health and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical inputs for advocacy, policy dialogue and resource‑mobilisation activities related to RHCS.
• Monitor programme results and budgets, and contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting for family planning and maternal health programmes.
