Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a motivated Financial Advisor to join its team and help customers navigate a range of financial products. You will be responsible for delivering tailored advice, building relationships, and meeting sales targets through proactive outreach and excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on allocated financial products and achieve individual sales results.
• Handle standard customer service inquiries and manage simple issues directly.
• Maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system and record follow‑up actions.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their needs.
• Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers through calls and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory codes.
• Support routine business development activities and identify new sales opportunities.
• Collect and input relevant data into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Participate in networking activities both inside and outside the company.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
• Strong stakeholder‑balancing and networking abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a high level of accountability and trust.
• Ability to manage complexity and work independently.
