Resource Mobilisation Specialist Consultant (Remote, 2 months)

About the role

UNICEF Malawi is seeking a Resource Mobilisation Specialist Consultant to provide dedicated support to its Partnerships Unit. This two‑month remote assignment will focus on donor scoping, funding trend analysis, and the development of a strategic Resource Mobilisation plan.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive scoping and analysis of donor priorities, funding trends, and partnership opportunities aligned with UNICEF’s strategic goals.
• Map and assess potential funding opportunities, donor interests, and emerging financing mechanisms.
• Develop foundational inputs and recommendations for a Resource Mobilisation Strategy.
• Support proposal development, partnership positioning materials, and the preparation of donor reports.
• Draft, review, edit, and quality‑assure donor reports, proposals, briefs, and related documents.
• Provide interim reporting support and coordinate inputs in the absence of the Reporting Officer.
• Prepare summary briefs, analytical notes, and recommendations to aid strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in resource mobilisation, fundraising, or partnership development, preferably in an international development context.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret donor data and funding trends.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail for high‑quality documentation.
• Ability to work independently and deliver timely, high‑quality outputs.
