Social Media Intern

About the role

HelpAbroad Konect is seeking two enthusiastic Social Media Interns to strengthen its digital presence across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This internship offers hands‑on experience in content creation, community management, and digital marketing while supporting the organisation’s mission to connect Africa with global opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day management of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.
• Schedule and publish posts according to the editorial calendar.
• Monitor comments, messages and audience engagement, supporting community interaction.
• Research trends, hashtags and format ideas to keep content fresh.
• Create graphics, short‑form videos, reels and write engaging captions.
• Repurpose existing content for different platforms and support campaigns around scholarships, fellowships, careers, travel and logistics.
• Track basic performance metrics and share insights for improvement.

Required profile

• Creative and proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Strong interest in digital marketing and social media trends.
• Good written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a small team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn platforms.
• Basic graphic‑design and video‑editing abilities.
• Content creation and copy‑writing for short‑form social media posts.
