Project Officer – Every Child Belongs Project

About the role

The Project Officer will support the “Every Child Belongs” initiative by promoting disability inclusion and improving access to essential services for vulnerable children. Working within World Vision’s framework, the role combines community engagement, program design, and advocacy to ensure children with disabilities receive equitable opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead community engagement and capacity‑building activities, including awareness campaigns, training plans, and mentorship for volunteers and parents of children with disabilities.
• Ensure inclusive access to quality education, healthcare, and nutrition services for children with disabilities, coordinating assessments, therapies, and support networks.
• Develop and implement inclusive program designs, budgets, and monitoring frameworks, facilitating data collection and iterative learning.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with disability‑focused NGOs, government agencies, and local coalitions to advance policy advocacy and resource mobilization.
• Oversee compliance with GESI, DEI, safeguarding, and child protection policies, representing World Vision in technical working groups and regional communities of practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Disability Studies, Development Studies or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in disability inclusion, community development, or program management.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and project management skills with a commitment to accountability and collaborative partnership.
