Project Coordinator for Maternal Mental Health

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of a four‑year Maternal Mental Health project in Lilongwe and Mzimba districts, reporting to the Programs Manager. The role focuses on planning, stakeholder engagement, data management, and continuous improvement of project processes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate overall project implementation, including mobilising target groups.
• Develop and manage the MEAL system and monitoring plan based on impact matrix indicators.
• Oversee data collection, progress measurement, reporting, and beneficiary database management.
• Build and maintain relationships with target groups, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project resources, including staff and volunteers in Lilongwe and Mzuzu, and ensure compliance with service policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support baseline, midline, and end‑line evaluations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mental Health, Psychiatric Nursing, Reproductive/Public Health or related field (or a relevant bachelor’s degree with substantial experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role within the NGO sector.
• Experience managing internationally donor‑funded projects is an advantage.
• Commitment to the organisation’s Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy.
