ODeL Programmes Officer (eLearning Data and Systems)

About the role

The University of Malawi is recruiting one ODeL Programmes Officer (eLearning Data and Systems) to support its open distance and e-learning activities. The post covers the development, maintenance and management of e-learning systems and data.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the development and review of e-learning software systems.
• Design and adapt face-to-face materials for the online instruction mode.
• Develop and maintain the Learning Management System for ODeL.
• Customize open-source applications to the institution's requirements.
• Implement open distance and e-learning policies, plans, strategies, programmes and standards related to instructional materials.
• Manage ODeL data.
• Provide user support to staff and students for open distance and e-learning systems and technologies.
• Develop, monitor and review the security and general performance of ODeL systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration or another related field.
• Three years of relevant work experience in a comparable setting.
