Medical Services Technician

About the role

The Medical Services Technician will support scheme membership administration and ensure accurate processing of medical claims for UNIMED. The role involves handling high volumes of health‑related information and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Pre‑screen and record all received medical claims, communicating issues to the Assistant Medical Services Officer.
• Capture claim data and new member information accurately in the Management Information System (MIS).
• Implement records policies, issue membership cards, and produce monthly valid members lists.
• Respond to queries about membership records and prepare related reports.
• Assist the ICT Officer with technical aspects of claims and membership systems.

Required profile

• Diploma in ICT.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in membership administration, medical claims processing, or handling high‑volume health data.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Health Management Information Systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
