Legal Data Analyst

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will turn complex legal information—contracts, case records, regulatory filings, and policy documents—into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and strategic decision‑making. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to build data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to surface trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate findings into clear recommendations for legal strategy, compliance programs, and business decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts, and evaluate outputs for large language models (LLMs) used in legal workflows.
• Support regulatory compliance by interpreting emerging requirements and mapping them to internal processes.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to streamline legal processes and reduce operational risk.
• Assist in data‑governance activities, including classification, retention policies, and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert legal concepts into quantitative models.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
