ICT Expert – Weighbridge Systems Integration

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced ICT Expert to lead the design and integration of weighbridge systems for a specialized infrastructure project. The role focuses on creating custom bridging software to connect weighbridge hardware with the Malawi Transport Information System (MalTIS), which currently offers no public API.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions for weighbridge equipment.
• Build custom bridging software to enable data exchange with MalTIS.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define technical specifications and integration points.
• Conduct testing, validation, and documentation of the integrated solution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in ICT systems design and implementation.
• At least two successfully completed weighbridge design projects.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and experience with custom integration challenges.
