Finance & Operations Consultant – ACHIEVE Project

About the role

Last Mile Health is seeking a Finance and Operations Consultant to support the ACHIEVE Project in Malawi. The consultant will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager and country program teams to ensure financial stewardship and operational efficiency for community health interventions in Balaka and Thyolo.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate disbursements and monitor expenditures against approved project budgets.
• Maintain compliance with donor regulations, GAAP standards, and Malawi Finance Regulations.
• Prepare financial reports, conduct analysis, and support strategic decision‑making.
• Coordinate logistics for project activities and manage procurement processes.
• Maintain meticulous financial documentation and streamline workflow processes.
• Collaborate with senior finance staff and program teams to safeguard resources and provide financial insights.

Required profile

• Experience providing accounting and financial management support in project operations.
• Knowledge of donor regulations, GAAP, and Malawi finance regulations.
• Ability to work closely with senior finance managers and program teams.
• Open to Malawian nationals and based in Lilongwe.
