Digital Health Consultant – MaHIS & iCHIS Integration

About the role

Last Mile Health is seeking a Digital Health Consultant to lead the design of a technical architecture and costed roadmap for integrating Malawi's Health Information System (MaHIS) with the Integrated Community Health Information System (iCHIS). The role focuses on improving data interoperability to support maternal and newborn health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a phased, costed roadmap for secure data exchange between MaHIS and iCHIS.
• Define technical, operational, and financial requirements for system integration.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and technical partners to align solutions with national digital health standards.
• Produce an investment case for government and development partners.
• Support the broader ACHIEVE grant objectives related to health system strengthening.

Required profile

• Experience designing digital health solutions and strengthening health information systems.
• Proven ability to work with government partners on interoperability initiatives.
• Knowledge of maternal and newborn health data needs.
• Malawian nationality and willingness to work onsite in Lilongwe.

Required skills

• Understanding of health information system architecture.
• Experience with data interoperability standards.
• Ability to develop technical and financial roadmaps.

What we offer
