Consultant – Editing of Malawi National Action Plan for Health Security

About the role

The World Health Organization is seeking a qualified Malawian consultant to provide comprehensive editorial support for the Government of Malawi’s National Action Plan for Health Security (NAPHS) 2026‑2030. The consultant will ensure the final document is clear, technically accurate, and ready for publication.

Key responsibilities

• Perform substantive editing, proofreading, and formatting of the NAPHS document.
• Verify technical accuracy, internal consistency, and adherence to WHO style and publication standards.
• Coordinate with WHO, the Ministry of Health, and sectoral working groups to incorporate all inputs.
• Conduct quality‑assurance checks and produce a publication‑ready final version.

Required profile

• Malawian national with proven experience editing technical or policy documents.
• Strong command of written English and familiarity with health security terminology (IHR, One Health, JEE, etc.).
• Ability to work under guidance from WHO and the Ministry of Health and meet tight deadlines.
