About the role
This contract-based Account Manager role is based on‑site in Lilongwe. You will drive business development, design technical solutions, and act as a trusted advisor for customers seeking IT infrastructure and networking services.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and business partners.
- Identify client business needs and propose appropriate IT and network solutions.
- Design technical solutions that align with customer requirements and project objectives.
- Conduct customer visits, deliver presentations, and demonstrate solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender documentation.
- Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Provide pre‑sales support and technical consultation throughout the sales cycle.
- Proactively follow up on sales opportunities and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Stay current with emerging IT and networking technologies and market trends.
Required profile
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT/network solution sales or pre‑sales.
- Strong knowledge of networking, servers, security, IP and overall IT infrastructure.
- Experience in solution design and preparing technical proposals.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
- Self‑motivated, responsible and able to work independently and within a team.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Huawei, Microsoft, Fortinet) are a plus.
