Chichewa Language Specialist – AI Trainer (Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking a fluent Chichewa language specialist to help train large‑scale AI models. As a freelance AI trainer you will ensure that the system produces natural, accurate and culturally appropriate Chichewa text for a variety of applications.

Key responsibilities

• Review, annotate and improve Chichewa content used for model training.
• Evaluate AI‑generated Chichewa outputs for grammatical correctness, fluency and cultural relevance.
• Identify recurring error patterns and document them for model refinement.
• Collaborate with the engineering and data‑science teams to refine prompts, evaluation methods and linguistic guidelines.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in Chichewa.
• Professional experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, editing or related fields.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong cultural knowledge of Chichewa‑speaking communities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
