About the role
Old Mutual is seeking a diligent Claims Administrator to manage pension claim processing. The role combines clerical efficiency with analytical assessment to ensure accurate and timely payments while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine office tasks such as answering calls, handling basic financial transactions, typing, filing and other ad‑hoc activities to improve efficiency.
- Receive, review, assess and calculate pension claims in line with established requirements.
- Analyse claim documentation for completeness and accuracy before authorising payments.
- Communicate claim status updates and requirements to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Ensure all claims comply with internal policies, regulatory mandates and industry best practices.
- Identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies and flag fraudulent or high‑risk claims.
- Prepare and maintain accurate claim records and management reports.
- Recommend and implement procedural improvements to boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance/Economics) or equivalent.
- Strong collaborative mindset with effective communication skills.
- Result‑driven attitude, accountable and able to align plans with organisational goals.
- Tech‑savvy with a willingness to adopt new tools and processes.
