Transport Manager (Agroforestry)

About the role

Mamaland, a Mota-Engil Group company, is recruiting a Transport Manager for its MoRe Project in Malawi, a 40-year initiative to restore 555,000 hectares of degraded land through reforestation, agroforestry and assisted natural regeneration. The role coordinates drivers and equipment operators and plans the movement and transport of equipment and consumables.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate drivers and equipment operators and plan movements.
• Plan the transport of equipment and consumables.
• Monitor fuel consumption and fleet utilization.
• Ensure operational discipline and compliance with road safety regulations.
• Maintain close coordination with the workshop and operational teams.

Required profile

• Secondary education or technical training in Transport, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in fleet and transport management in agroforestry, construction, mining or similar sectors.
• Experience coordinating drivers, equipment operators and transport resources.
• Valid driving licence (international validity preferred).
• Willingness to relocate and work in Malawi.

Required skills

• Knowledge of fuel control, fleet management and operational planning.
• Understanding of road safety regulations and operational best practices.
• Planning, organizational and team management skills, problem-solving and decision-making.
• Proficiency in English (mandatory).
