Project Officer – Disability Inclusion (Every Child Belongs)

About the role

The Project Officer will lead disability‑inclusion efforts within the “Every Child Belongs” project, ensuring children with disabilities can access education, health services and community life. Working closely with staff, partners and local leaders, the officer will promote inclusive practices and build capacity across the project area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement community engagement processes that empower groups to address child well‑being and disability inclusion.
• Facilitate inclusive education initiatives, coordinate assessments, therapies and support services for children with disabilities.
• Design, monitor and adapt program plans, budgets and learning cycles to ensure accessible services and infrastructure.
• Build partnerships with disability‑focused NGOs, government agencies and local networks to advocate for policy change and resource mobilization.
• Provide GESI and disability awareness training, technical assistance and mentorship to staff, volunteers and community partners.
• Oversee case‑management systems, data collection and research on disability issues to inform project improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Needs, Social Sciences, Disability Studies or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community development, disability inclusion or similar development programmes.
• Strong facilitation, communication and project‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to accountability, integrity and collaborative partnership building.
