Postgraduate Programmes Administrator

About the role

The University of Malawi is seeking a Postgraduate Programmes Administrator to manage the administration of its postgraduate studies. The role involves coordinating admissions, maintaining records, and supporting students throughout their academic journey.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret, enforce and review postgraduate rules, regulations and policies.
• Liaise with the Registry and other partners on admissions, special cases and registration changes.
• Process applications, maintain the postgraduate database, and provide statistical reports.
• Coordinate programme scheduling, timetabling and organise open days and other events.
• Prepare information packs, manage invoicing for fees, and act as the first point of contact for prospective and current postgraduate students.
• Organise the receipt, collation and distribution of student assignments for marking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business/Public Administration or an equivalent qualification.
• At least three years of relevant work experience at an assistant officer level.
