Partnerships & Campus Engagement Intern

About the role

Mapondera LevelUp Careers (MLC) is an emerging career development platform connecting opportunities, networks, experiences and learning. It is looking for a part-time remote Partnerships & Campus Engagement Intern to support the growth of MLC's partnerships and presence across campuses and communities. The intern works closely with the founding team and gains exposure to early-stage startup operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential institutional, organizational and campus partners
• Assist with outreach campaigns and maintain partner contact lists and engagement trackers
• Help coordinate virtual events, info sessions and campus activities
• Contribute to communication materials such as emails, presentations and social media content
• Support relationship management with student organizations, career centers and community groups
• Provide regular reports on engagement metrics and partnership opportunities

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently graduated in a relevant field (Business, Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences) or equivalent practical experience
• Experience or interest in partnerships and building relationships with student groups, institutions and community organizations
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Interest or foundational skills in sales and partner outreach, including cold outreach and follow-up
• Strong organization skills, able to manage several tasks and meet deadlines remotely
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a distributed team

Required skills

• Analytical skills to research, assess and prioritize partnership opportunities
• Familiarity with digital tools for communication, project tracking and basic data analysis (Google Workspace, spreadsheets, CRM or tracking tools) is beneficial
