Operations Manager – Dwangwa or Nchalo

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead and coordinate all operational functions for the security project at either the Dwangwa or Nchalo site in Malawi. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role ensures compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures and maintains high standards of guard force performance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all day‑to‑day operations across the project site.
• Conduct security surveys and risk assessments for client properties and advise the Project Manager.
• Reconcile manpower requirements with actual job needs on a monthly basis.
• Administer staff leave, relieving procedures and enforce discipline in liaison with HR.
• Monitor and control the use of operational vehicles and motorcycles.
• Manage requisition, budgeting and control of operational equipment.
• Identify training needs for operations staff and recommend programmes.
• Report and rectify sub‑standard observations promptly.
• Liaise with external agencies such as police, fire, hospitals and welfare authorities.
• Generate assignment instructions for each guard post and ensure adherence to SOPs.

Required profile

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Excellent situation analysis and report‑writing abilities.
• Strong understanding of security procedures, SOPs and risk assessment.
• Ability to manage staff discipline and coordinate with HR.
• Willingness to maintain high performance standards and adopt new technologies.
