ODeL Programmes Officer (eLearning Data & Systems)

About the role

The ODeL Programmes Officer will lead the development and management of e‑learning software and data systems for the University’s Open Distance and e‑Learning (ODeL) programmes. The role involves coordinating system design, adapting teaching materials for online delivery, and providing technical support to staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the development and review of e‑learning software systems.
• Design and adapt face‑to‑face teaching materials for online instruction.
• Develop and maintain the Learning Management System for ODeL.
• Customize open‑source applications to meet institutional requirements.
• Implement ODeL policies, plans, strategies, programmes and standards related to instructional materials.
• Manage ODeL data and ensure its integrity.
• Provide user support for ODeL systems and technologies to staff and students.
• Develop, monitor and review the security and performance of ODeL systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant work experience in a comparable setting.
