Management Development Centre Manager

About the role

The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) is seeking a Management Development Centre (MDC) Manager. The post is under the immediate supervision of the Executive Dean of the School of Business and Economic Sciences. The university is repositioning itself to meet international standards of scholarship and a modern business culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, implement and monitor policies, plans, programmes, strategies, guidelines and budgets for the MDC.
• Monitor, implement and maintain standards for the Centre's activities.
• Initiate and carry out research projects, consultancies and outreach programmes, including tracer studies.
• Raise the Centre's international academic profile in line with the University's Internationalisation Strategy.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with government, public and private sectors, development partners and the international community.
• Represent the Centre on various fora.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in a relevant field from an institution accredited or recognised under the National Council for Higher Education Act.
• Five years of experience in a management position in a higher education institution.
• Knowledge of consultancy and management development.

What we offer

• A 3-year performance-based contract, renewable once.
