Head of ICT

About the role

The University of Malawi is recruiting a Head of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) to provide strategic and operational management of ICT services across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the selection, application and development of ICT technologies
• Develop instructional technology support based on ICT practices and instructional strategies
• Facilitate the use of ICT in course design, procedures and pedagogical practices
• Implement quality control practices and monitor ICT student satisfaction, retention and academic staff performance
• Coordinate training and mentoring for academic staff involved in designing, teaching or reviewing online programmes
• Manage the budget and resources of the unit

Required profile

• Masters' degree in Computer Science or an ICT-related field from an institution accredited or recognised under the National Council of Higher Education Act
• Five years of relevant work experience at manager level
